NOTE- CARTRIDGE 1, 2 AND 4 ARE REPLACED ANNUALLY. CARTRIDGE #3 NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERY SECOND YEAR. PROCESS FOR BOTH IS THE SAME.

NOTE- Flushing Valve Position is ON when the blue lever is parallel to the tube (or in horizontal position) and OFF when the blue lever is perpendicular to the tube (or vertical position)

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • New replacement cartridges
  • A bucket or towel to catch any drips

Step 1: Isolate the Water Supply

  1. Locate the isolation valve under your sink. This valve controls the water supply to your filter system.
  2. Turn the valve to the "OFF" position. This will stop water from flowing to the filter.

Step 2: Change Flushing Valve position

  1. Turn Left flushing valve ON, Right flushing valve OFF

Step 3: Depressurise the System

  1. Turn the valve on the Reverse Osmosis tank to OFF position.
  2. Turn the dedicated filter tap on your sink to ON position.

  3. Allow the remaining water to drain out. This will release any pressure built up in the system and make it easier to remove the old cartridges.

Step 4: Remove the Old Cartridges

  1. Working one at a time, grab a cartridge and twist it clockwise, just like you would with a lightbulb.

  2. Pull the cartridge down and out of the filter head. Be prepared for a small amount of water to leak out.

  3. Dispose of the old cartridge in the landfill bin.

Step 5: Install the New Cartridges

  1. Take the new cartridges and ensure you are installing them in the correct order. The cartridges are typically numbered or labelled for easy identification.

  2. Align the top of the new cartridge with the filter head.

  3. Push the cartridge up and into the head, then twist it anticlockwise until it is securely in place.

Step 6: Restore Water Supply and Flush the System

  1. Once all the new cartridges are installed, turn the isolation valve under your sink back to the "ON" position.

  2. Turn on the filter tap and allow the water to run for 15-20 minutes to flush the new cartridges. This removes any carbon fines or air from the system.

  3. After flushing, turn the flushing valves on either side of the filter system back to DRINKING position, as below and continue to flush for 15-20 minutes more.

  4. Finally, turn the filter tap to OFF position, turn the Reverse Osmosis tank valve to ON position. Allow the tank to fill up for 30-60 minutes before use.
