Section 2: Installation Guide

IMPORTANT: For optimal performance and to validate your warranty, the installation MUST be performed by a licensed plumber. Read all instructions carefully before installation.

Pre-Installation Checklist

  • The system MUST be mounted vertically.
  • Allow sufficient clearance around the top and front unit doors for annual filter cartridge replacements and service.

  • The system must be operated within the recommended pressure range.

  • WARNING: DO NOT USE THREAD SEALANTS. The use of thread tape is the only permitted sealant. Using any other thread sealant will void all warranties.

Site Selection & Planning

  • The system is a complete unit with all fittings. The plumber will only need standard piping to connect the system to your household water supply.

  • Install the system as close to the main water meter or the first point of entry as possible to ensure all water in the house is filtered.

  • A great location is on an outside wall where it is both accessible for service and aesthetically acceptable.

  • Avoid connecting any reticulation systems to this filter as it can cause pressure loss in the property when activated.

  • If installed indoors, place the system as close to a floor drain as possible to facilitate drainage during cartridge replacement.

Auto Digital Back Flush Filter Setup

This unit requires batteries for operation.

  • Ensure 4 x AA batteries are correctly inserted into the digital backflush filter.

  • Before activating, flush water through the system for at least 10 minutes.

Installation Process

  • Securely mount the system to a wall in the chosen location or place on ground/ concrete pads.

  • Connect the mains water supply to the system's inlet port.

  • Connect the outlet port to your home's water pipes.

  • Ensure all connections are made using thread tape only.

  • After installation, turn on the water source and check for any leaks.

Valve Positions

  • Valves Open: Water will flow through the filters.

  • Valves Closed: The system is in Bypass mode, allowing unfiltered water to flow to the property.

Section 3: User Guide & Maintenance

General Use

  • The system is for the filtration of town, tank, and bore water.

  • If the system will not be used for an extended period of time (e.g., during a vacation), the inlet valve must be closed or the system should be set to Bypass mode.

Cartridge Replacement Procedure

It is recommended to replace the filter cartridges every 12 months, depending on your water quality.

  1. Turn off water source OR Bypass the system: Locate and turn off the main water supply to the unit.

  2. Bypass the system: On the top of the unit, turn both valves to the 'OFF' position to enter Bypass mode.

  3. Unscrew filter housing: Using the supplied wrench, unscrew the white housings by turning them anti-clockwise.

  4. Discard old filters: Remove the old filters from the housings and dispose of them.

  5. Install new filters: Insert the new filters into the appropriate white housings.

  6. Screw housing back: Screw the housings back on, turning clockwise until hand-tight. Use the wrench to secure but do not overtighten. Ensure the 'O' ring is correctly seated.

  7. Turn on water source: Turn both valves back to the 'ON' position to return to filtration mode.

  8. Valve Positions (see images above)

    • Valves Open: Water will flow through the filters.

    • Valves Closed: The system is in Bypass mode, allowing unfiltered water to flow to the property.
