Metallic Taste on recently installed filter/ cartridges

If you notice an off-putting taste in your water after installing a new system or replacing any cartridges, it could signal a problem with the final cartridge in the filtration process, particularly the fourth alkaline cartridge. This cartridge is essential for improving the taste and quality of your water by balancing pH levels and infusing it with vital minerals. However, over time, it may become saturated with contaminants or diminish in effectiveness, resulting in undesirable flavors in your drinking water. If you experience any changes in taste, it is recommended to inspect the alkaline cartridge and consider replacing it to restore the water's quality and ensure a refreshing drinking experience.

To assess whether the filter is functioning properly, please follow these steps:

1. Turn off the tank valve.

2. Collect a sample of water from the faucet at the top.

3. Taste the water to check for any lingering metallic flavor.

4. If the metallic taste persists, the filter needs to be replaced. If there is no metallic taste,

5. Empty the tank and refill it with fresh water.
